Surrey mum who led 'life filled with laughter and adventure' remembered in latest death notices

A Surrey mum who had a "life filled with laughter and adventures" has been remembered in this week's death notices. The family of Ann Power said she had an "unbreakable love for her three sons" and always wanted to bring "happiness to those around her".

Jeanne, of Witley, died peacefully in hospital on 13th January 2025, aged 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Donald, much loved mother of Simon (and his wife Chrissy) and Graeme (and his wife Viv) and loving grandmother of Stephen and Matthew.

Funeral service at All Saints Church, Witley on Tuesday, February 4 at 1pm followed by a private cremation. Please come dressed as you feel most comfortable, but bright colours are welcome, and appreciated. No flowers, please.

Passed away peacefully on 29/12/2024 aged 92. Much loved husband to Muriel, dad and granddad. Former resident and business owner of Cobham Superstores, Cobham. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Hilda, of Shalford, died on 27th December 2024. Much loved wife of Ian, mother of Susan and the late Catherine, sister of Brenda and proud grandmother of Julia, Charlotte, Georgina and Matthew. Proud great grandmother of Lachlann, who was born 12 days after she died.

A full life, well lived. She will be greatly missed by her immediate family and many friends. There will be a service to celebrate Hilda's life at St Mary's Church, Shalford on Monday, January 27 at 2.30pm. Family flowers only please.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mum, who lived a life filled with laughter, adventure, and an unbreakable love for her three sons. Ever the adventurer, the learner, the carer, we remember a light-hearted mother who gave us the tools to be good people. Her legacy is one of caring, passion for adventure, and a genuine desire to bring happiness to those around her.

A service of thanksgiving is to be held Tuesday, January 28, 1pm at Christ Church in Brockham followed by a celebration of life at The Grumpy Mole, Brockham Green.
