The Surrey pizza restaurant with 'best pizzas in the country' where 'staff look after you like family'
If you didn’t get the chance to hop on a plane, jet across the Mediterranean to sample some of Italy’s best pizzas - don't fret. According to customers you can find the best pizza in the UK right here in Surrey.
It’s a big, bold claim to make, but with a 4.9-star rating on OpenTable, surely you can’t go wrong. Nestled on Epsom High Street is a tiny pizza bar with a big menu called Pizzerium. It is also the number one restaurant out of 136 Restaurants in Epsom on TripAdvsior.
Despite it’s namesake, the restaurant serves more than pizza, customers can also enjoy lasagne, melanzane novella and salads. However, most will be visiting to try the famous pizzas.
One Opentable reviewer wrote: “Are these the best pizzas in the country or what?!!! You have to try these pizzas, they are absolutely superb.”

Another said via Google: “One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. A small cosy restaurant with very friendly staff. Definitely come back again!”
Pizzerium’s range of pizzas boasts fancy Margheritas with fresh basil, parmesan topped with burrata for £13.90, and fiorentina with garlic olive oil, ndjua, free range egg topped with prosciutto for £14.20.
Three meat pizzas with prosciutto, nduja and salami with parmesan and red onions costs £14.90, and a mushroom pizza features a garlic butter base, chestnut mushrooms, truffle oil and crushed pistachio for £13.90.
Dips specially made for crusts cost £1.50 to add to a dish, with delicious optinos like truffle, ndjua, pesto, hot honey or tomato sauce.
Customers state the menu is really well-priced, as one OpenTable customer commented: “Great pizza, especially the Fiorentina. Also price wise it offers great value for money. Having a beer from Sardinia, Ichnusa, is a nice surprise.”
One gripe diners commented on was that sometimes service could be a little bit slow, but the restaurant didn’t loose any stars for this. One said: “Loved my visit here! Great humour from the waiter and food was delicious! Service could be slow at times but I wasn’t in any rush.” Another added: "What an absolutely fabulous evening! The food was amazing, but more amazing were the guys running the place. They could not do enough for us. It was like being looked after by family."
Lastly, the menu is not to be forgotten, with tasty delicacies like traditional tiramisu for £6.50 and gelatos. For £4 two scoops customers can choose from vanilla, chocolate or pistachio.
An unusual pistachio tiramisu can also be found on the menu, with freshly made pistachio ice cream, and topped with crema di pistachio and crushed nuts. Finally, the Nutella calzone likely steals the show with delicious warm chocolate inside, topped off with a sprinkle of pistachios for £7.50.
