Surrey Police issue update as man in 40s dies on Guildford street

A man has died after suffering a 'medical episode' in an area of Surrey, police have confirmed. Surrey Police have updated members of the public following a 'large emergency services presence' in the Guilford area earlier today (Saturday, November 16).

Police confirmed that a man in his 40s has died. A Surrey Police statement said: "We are aware there has been some concern following a large emergency services presence in the Bellfields area of Guildford this afternoon (16 November).

"Officers were called by South East Coast Ambulance service at around 3pm to a man suffering a medical episode on Hazel Road, Guildford. Despite the best efforts of the paramedics, the man in his 40s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

"The death is being treated as non-suspicious and a file in being prepared for the coroner. Our thoughts remain with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time."
