Surrey weekend weather forecast as thunderstorms and heavy rain warnings issued
Thunderstorms swept across Surrey on Friday afternoon with heavy downpours drenching parts of the county and the weather forecast for the rest of the weekend continues to look unsettled.
Back to back yellow weather warnings are in place for the next 48 hours, with a 24-hour warning of thunderstorms on Saturday (September 21) while on Sunday (September 22) heavy rain is set to fall across parts of Surrey.
Driving conditions in Surrey may be impacted, as well as rail and even potentially flights. On Saturday, more stormy weather could be felt in Surrey, including in parts of west Surrey including Farnham, Camberley and Virginia Water, although are forecasts subject to change as time draws on.

On Saturday a yellow weather warning is in place from 1am until midnight and temperatures could be mild with a slight drizzle in the morning. Highs of 22C are expected, with light rain between 6am and 9am. Temperatures should climb throughout the morning, reaching around 21C at around midday.
Cloudy skies with sunny spells are expected throughout the rest of the afternoon, with some parts in the west of Surrey receiving drizzle. Highs of around 21C are forecast, with temperatures dropping to 17C in the evening.
Drizzle is likely to begin to fall at around 8pm on Saturday, growing heavier throughout the night and early hours of Sunday morning. Highs of 16C are forecast for Sunday morning, with heavy rain forecast between 1am and 4am.
Rain is likely to ease up by around 7am and revert to light showers, with sunshine starting to reappear at 10am in some parts of Surrey. The remainder of Sunday could be showery in some areas with highs of 19C at around midday.
The rest of Sunday afternoon may be cloudy, with cooler temperatures of 17C and a light breeze. It appears the evening and early hours of the morning may be dry, with cloud cover and highs of 15C.
