Surveillance Drone Assists in Search for Brian Laundrie

The Lee County Sheriff deployed an aerial surveillance drone to assist with the search for Brian Laundrie on October 2, as part of the investigation into the death of Gabby Petito.

“Detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Electronic Surveillance Unit launched the Dragonfish Drone to assist the North Port Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in their search for Brian Laundrie,” the Lee County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post with this video.

A coroner found Petito was the victim of a homicide, the FBI announced on September 21, two days after her remains were discovered in Grand Teton National Park.
