Susanna Reid has now become the highest paid woman on TV, according to reports.

It is claimed the glamorous 51-year-old now earns more than Holly Willoughby who previously held the enviable title of the highest paid woman on TV.

Now the breakfast TV star has reportedly signed a shiny new deal with Good Morning Britain said to be worth £1.1million.

A source told The Sun: “Susanna’s previous arrangement actually came to an end a short while ago and negotiations have been ongoing, but she kept ITV sweating a bit.

“She knows she is a huge part of the show and is increasingly involved in the day-to-day decisions too, alongside her presenting role.

“Plus there is already uncertainty over who will co-anchor long term after Piers Morgan left so she was definitely in a strong position.”

Ms Reid’s representatives said they would not be offering a comment on the story.

The Standard has approached ITV’s representatives for further comment.

Since Piers Morgan dramatically left GMB, Ms Reid was left without a permanent co-host.

Instead, the TV personality has been co-presenting with a whole galaxy of stars.

She has appeared alongside presenters Ben Shephard, Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh as well as guest hosts including Richard Madeley.

The biggest earners on TV are believed to be Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly who have lucrative deals.

Off-screen in recent days, Ms Reid rung in her mum’s 81st birthday.

She told her fans: “81 years young! Happy Birthday to my amazing mum.

“Update: thank you for all your wonderful comments about Mum, and sending love to everyone.

“Skin update: Lots of people agreeing Mum has amazing skin. She says this is down to 1. Astral moisturiser since she was 25 years old 2. Occasional use of Clarins 3. Never smoking.”
