She became know nationwide as a fashion expert thanks to her popular BBC series What Not to Wear alongside Trinny Woodall. And now Susannah Constantine is about to swap dishing out fashion advice for the dance floor as part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing line-up.

But fashionista Constantine said she still insisted on two fashion choices with the Strictly wardrobe: “I’m following their lead, but I have a couple of things, which is no high necklines, and I don’t want to show my arms. I’ll do anything else,” she said at a recent Strictly press event.

The television presenter, 56, added that she has huge admiration for the Strictly wardrobe team:

“I mean, they are master seamstresses those women. They are absolutely incredible. That’s part and parcel of the show. Seeing how all the clothes are made, I’m obsessed with the whole design.

“It’s like being made a couture wardrobe, everything is made to measure and those girls are incredible,” she said.

But could Constantine be hit by the dreaded Strictly romance curse? Constantine laughed this idea off and said she’s ‘too old.’

“I’m far too old for my husband to worry. We’ve been married for 23 years, we’ve been through so much,” she said.

Strictly Come Dancing returns tonight on BBC One.
