Detective Inspector Jimmy Rotheram said: “Knife crime is an issue the force takes very seriously, and our work continues on a daily basis to identify those people who choose to carry and use knives. We have seen the devastation that knives cause and will continue to work with our partners and be proactive in our work to remove knives from the streets so our communities can feel safe.

"The public’s help in identifying offenders and providing information and CCTV and video to assist with our enquiries is vital to the work we do and I would urge people to continue to support us.” Anyone with information can DM @MerPolCC or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
