Suspects named in connection with multi-kilo drug probe

Two suspects charged in connection with an investigation into multi-kilo class A drug supply have been named.

Jamie Menagh, 30, was charged on Friday, May 3 with conspiracy to supply class A drugs. Menagh, of Waterloo Road, Vauxhall, was remanded in custody and appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Saturday, May 4. Michael Day, 35, was also charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Day, of Manchester Road, Prescot, has been remanded until his next appearance at Mold Crown Court on May 17. The charges come as part of the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit's (NWROCU) Operation Falcon probe - an investigation into the multi-kilo importation and distribution of class A drugs.

The operation was launched in 2023 to target suspected serious and organised crime in the North West. NWROCU, based in Liverpool, is a team of about 600 staff trained in tackling serious organised crime. Made up of officers and specialists from six forces, it covers north Wales, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Cheshire and Cumbria.
