Synkmark for Mac review

Syncmark for Mac lets you sync your bookmarks across multiple browsers and all of your devices, so you can always find the page you're looking for quickly. Once you go through the setup process, you can conveniently access the same bookmarks no matter where you are or what browser you're using.

Pros

Background syncing: When you first open the app, you need to go through a multi-step setup process. After that's completed, however, the app will run in the background and sync any new bookmarks you add in any browser automatically, so you don't need to remember what you were using or where you saved something.

Detailed instructions: The first time you open this software, an instruction page will automatically open as well. This document gives you an overview of the steps you'll be guided through to set up the app to best suit your needs, and it also includes links to more detailed instructions about particular aspects of the setup process.

Cons

Syncing errors: During setup, we had several issues and encountered multiple error messages. The software was unable to get bookmarks from Chrome, and the troubleshooting steps the app offered didn't work. There were also a lot of other error messages that popped up during setup concerning the installation of a Firefox plug-in, and it wasn't entirely clear when the software had finished syncing or whether or not it was successful.

Bottom Line

Synkmark contains a lot of convenient features, and the fact that it can sync across devices is an especially nice touch. However, the setup was not entirely successful during our testing.

Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of Synkmark for Mac 1.22.25.
