The twist at the end of M. Night Shyamalan's Split revealed that the James McAvoy movie is in the same universe as Unbreakable, the 2000 acclaimed Bruce Willis thriller.

Split made over $40 million in its opening weekend, leading director Shyamalan to hastily arrange a sequel, bringing together Willis and McAvoy's characters. Now a synopsis has revealed some more details about the upcoming follow-up, Glass.

"M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass," Universal Pictures have stated.

Unbreakable starred Willis and Samuel L. Jackson as a man who discovers he cannot be hurt and a disabled super-villain respectively.

"Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn, as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast," the synopsis continues.

So far, a whole bunch of information we already knew.

The sequel sees Willis and McAvoy's characters going head to head, impacted heavily by Jackson.

"Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb's superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men."

Shyamalan and Jason Blum, who also produced Split, will be producing Glass with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider, who will executive produce.
