Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes has told fans she was stuck in hospital with a severe chest infection and “can’t come home yet”.

The star had been hoping to be sent home on Sunday, but took to Facebook again with another health update.

“I spoke too soon,” she wrote. “Can’t come home yet: I have a chest infection. Probably tomorrow. But at least I’m resting. Love to all. Thank you for your lovely messages.”

Fans then shared well wishes. One wrote: “Thanks for the update, glad you are getting time to rest even if you are being made to do it...”

Another commented: “Sending lots of nursing healing blessings your way,” while a third said: “Sorry for the delay in going home. You will bounce back. Wishing you a speedy recovery.”
