Boyzone have announced plans to celebrate their 25th anniversary with a tour, new music and summer concert dates.
HUGE congratulations to Ronan Keating and Storm, who have just announced that they’re expecting their first baby together! “We feel so blessed to be adding another little Keating to the family and this news is like all of our Christmas wishes coming true. Boyzone star Ronan, 39, and Storm got hitched in August last year, and have made no secret of their plans to start a family in the past.
Ronan Keating took to Instagram yesterday to pay tribute to his former Boyzone bandmate, Stephen Gately, on the seven-year anniversary of his death. Stephen tragically passed away on 10th October 2009 from a congenital heart defect at his home in Spain. Stephen was much-loved by his Boyzone bandmates, who were Ireland’s biggest boyband back in the ’90s, and the singers were left absolutely devastated by their friend’s shock death.
Boyzone are still contemplating how to mark their 25th anniversary, with ideas of a TV documentary now being added to rumours of a reunion. According to reports, Ronan Keating wants to mark the special anniversary with a documentary and a big Wembley Stadium party, which would celebrate the years of boybands. It’s thought that Ronan also wants to bring other boyband members together for a gig with a festival feel, with Busted, Westlife, A1 and Damage all in the mix.
Keith Duffy has admitted he “owes a great deal” to Coronation Street after the show saved his career. The Boyzone star felt as though he would spend the rest of his days “talking about memories” following the boy band’s split in 2000 because he didn’t feel there was any point trying to forge a solo career because his voice was not good enough. Keith was initially only supposed to play Ciaran for three weeks but signed up for longer after impressing, and the star admits he loved starring alongside some of the soap’s legends when he first joined.
Oh blimey, it’s all kicking off for those blokes from Westlife, as former bandmates Kian Egan and Brian McFadden are now in the midst of a fully-fledged war or words. Brian has had a pop at former Westlife pal Kian, after the 2013 King of the Jungle trashed Brian for going on a tour this year to talk about Westlife - which he’d quit just four years in. For those of you not in the know, Brian and former Boyzone star Keith Duffy are touring the UK and Ireland later this year in something called ‘Boyzlife’ – where they’ll be chatting about their time in the band and presumably singing a few of their hits.
2016 is proving to be a good year for boyband bromances, what with Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Westlife’s Brian McFadden teaming up to create ‘Boyzlife’. Now, Boyzone’s Ronan Keating has been sharing the love for Take That’s Gary Barlow, admitting that he’d love to write some music with the star, having been trying to get him in the studio to record together for years. Ronan told the Daily Star: “Gary is a friend of mine and we always talk about it but our diaries never allow us.
Our 90s hearts are brimming with joy right now, as Boyzone’s Keith Duffy and Westlife’s Brian McFadden have announced they’re teaming up to form a new supergroup - Boyzlife.
Ronan Keating was left devastated when his Boyzone bandmate, Stephen Gately, died in October 2009, but the singer has poignantly honoured his pal in the wake of his recent wedding to Storm Uechtritz.
Ronan Keating and Storm Uechtritz had a surprise special guest at their wedding reception on Monday. The couple, who tied the knot at the beautiful Archerfield House in Scotland, were serenaded by none other than award-winning star Ed Sheeran. Copyright “Ed appeared out of nowhere, everyone was so surprised. He was such a nice guy,” a source reported to Irish entertainment website Goss.ie. The Thinking Out Loud singer seems to be rubbing shoulders with Cupid as just last month he helped Jake Roche propose to Little Mixer Jesy Nelson (aww!) and allowed Kodaline’s Jay Boland to propose to his girlfriend Etaoin Corr on stage during his Croke Park gig (aww! x2). Otherwise, we’re worried that he won’t fit us into his ever-growing schedule! Copyright Goss.ie also revealed that Ed was later joined on stage by Ronan and his Boyzone band mates Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch. *Happy sigh* This is one collaboration that we wish we had witnessed… Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden made us envious of the star-studded guest list shared the news and the guest’s collective confusion on Twitter, writing: “Last night had the best jam ever.
Ronan and his bride-to-be arrived at Waverly train station on Friday and Storm’s family were not too far behind, as they had flown out from Australia to be there ahead of the service. It is believed that the couple will be holding the ceremony at Archerfield House, which is a luxury estate boasting a golf course and a waterfront marina village, in East Lothian.
