Attention Harmonizers, 5H has finally dropped their newest video for their latest single “That’s My Girl” and it SLAYS! As a fellow harmonizer, I am so BEYOND pleased with the video! It is so good to see this group stand on their own and have a single that doesn’t include a feature. The last video where 5H was solo was for Sledgehammer, their second single of their debut album Reflection. Fifth Harmony was still widely unknown during the time of their first studio album.
In the world of Pop music today, it seems that vocal groups have made a triumphant return to the music industry instead of a slew of solo artists. Not that solo artists aren’t amazing, but there is something about a good vocal group that mostly everyone, including myself, can appreciate. Traditionally, with vocal groups, it seems to be a battle of the sexes, male vocal groups versus female vocal groups.
One of my absolute artists at the moment is Fifth Harmony! They have several well-known songs like “Worth It,” “Work From Home,” and their newest single “All In My Head (Flex).” When I heard they were going on tour this year, I couldn’t contain myself and had to buy tickets they day they were available! Thankfully we had good seats! I wanted to see Fifth Harmony on their Reflection Tour but I was sadly working the day of the of the concert. The opening acts for Fifth Harmony were Victoria Monet, whom I’ve never heard of…sorry, but all the songs she sang I did enjoy.
