A spate of thefts in America has highlighted a new trend in car crime - thieves using laptops to hack direct into a car’s electronics. A new report from the Wall Street Journal found that thieves are using hacking techniques to break into the onboard computers in cars and start the ignition. ‘We don’t know what he is exactly doing with the laptop,’ said Senior Officer James Woods of the Houston Police Department.
