    A broken back, a dislocated shoulder, a broken leg in nine places, a fractured ankle, a dislocated elbow, a “devastating” leg injury, a blood clot on the lung, snapped cruciate ligaments, ripped ligaments, torn ligaments, whiplash, friction burns, and even a death. In the latest series, Britain’s most successful gymnast, Beth Tweddle, 30, broke her back during rehearsals, Olympians Rebecca Adlington, 26, and Linford Christie, 55, suffered a dislocated shoulder and an injured hamstring respectively, actress Tina Hobley, 44, dislocated her elbow and TV star Mark-Francis Vandelli, 26, broke his ankle.
