The actor who played Jon Snow took time off after eight seasons of the fantasy show as he dealt with his mental health struggles.
Sophie Turner has said that as far as she's concerned Kit Harington deserves to earn more money than she does on Game of Thrones.
Now that the royal wedding is well in our rearview mirrors, it's time to fawn over the second most important wedding of 2018: The marriage of Jon Snow and Ygritte (or, rather, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie.) The current and former Game of Thrones stars married in Scotland on Saturday before friends, family, and, of course, the cast of the HBO show. SEE ALSO: 'Game of Thrones' set images could foreshadow a new ruler of Westeros The two apparently got together while playing on-screen love interests. People first leaked news of the pair's engagement back in September, and an announcement from the couple appeared a few weeks later in a U.K. newspaper. While we're sure Harington and Leslie simply forgot to invite the global GoT audience to its wedding, those looking to sneak a peek at the nuptials will have to make due with wire photos and and videos apparently filmed from the bushes outside the chapel where the wedding took place. Shout-out to the fan with crouched-in-the-bushes-level devotion. And elsewhere on the internet, us plebeians watching from the sidelines can't help but feel happy for our IRL Game of Thrones couple. Congratulations, you two. i don’t even believe in marriage but seeing kit harington and rose leslie’s wedding pictures got some typa feelings stirrin up in this lil bitch’s heart — rach :) (@rachchesney) June 23, 2018 Can I just tell you how much I freakin love that Ygritte and Jon Snow just got married in REAL LIFE. Also, it makes her fictional demise easier to cope with. — Brittany Curran (@BrittanyCurran) June 23, 2018 Rose and Kit are what couples everywhere should strive to be. Game Of Thrones stars Rose Leslie and Kit Harington have married at a quaint ceremony at a church in Aberdeenshire. The stars both beamed as they arrived at Rayne Church in Kirkton of Rayne separately. Guests at the wedding include Game Of Thrones stars Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke, actor Jack Donnelly and his partner, actress Malin Akerman.
The Great War is here! Jon’s doom laden voice confirms all fears as Cersei acknowledges she’s surrounded and Daenerys hits Dragonstone with fighting talk. “We’re the last Lannisters left” intones Cersei to Jaime, and in a slight at Tyrion: “The last ones who count”. With Jon to the north, Euron to the west, Dany to the east and what’s left of the Tyrells and Martells in the south, Cersei’s giant map must be looking smaller to her every day.
Hopefully by now you’ve caught up with the explosive season six finale of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’, but amidst all the carnage and incident that took place in The Wind of Winter it’s worth addressing the prophecy Cersei once had revealed to her at the hands of fortune teller Maggy the Frog. In The Wars to Come (season five, episode one), we see a flashback of a teenage Cersei Lannister and her friend enter the witch’s hut.
Let’s be honest, out of all of the surviving characters in fantasy drama Game Of Thrones, Theon ‘Reek’ Greyjoy (played by the incredible Alfie Allen) has definitely suffered the most. Although we all kind of hated him at the start of the series, Theon won our sympathy when he was eventually taken captive by the evil Ramsay Bolton and tormented, tortured, and even castrated. Which is why when we met up with Alfie to discuss his role of Ted in Jesse Eisenberg’s new West End play 'The Spoils’, we were happy to hear that he was finally able to play a blissfully happy character.
Remember what happened in Game of Thrones season one when Ned Stark told Arya and Sansa he’d be sending them back to Winterfell from King’s Landing? Arya argued that she’d only just begun making progress with her “dancing teacher” Syrio Forel and well, Sansa argued that she was supposed to marry Prince Joffrey. “I love him!” she’d whined as Arya looked on.
It seems like the whole world is crazy for Game Of Thrones and this latest anecdote is proof that even law officials have a weak spot for the fantasy drama. Y'see, Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, has revealed that he once got out of a speeding ticket by revealing his character’s fate. The world was left stunned at the end of the last season of the show when Jon was murdered in cold blood by his fellow men on the Night’s Watch, with fans speculating whether or not he could actually be dead for an entire year.
