As conspiracy theories go, this one seems just a little bit on the lame side – but some fans of legendary grunge rockers Nirvana are utterly convinced that Kurt Cobain is alive and living in Peru. Quite how the British version of the show managed to trundle on for years without anyone claiming Elvis or Buddy Holly was alive and well is a mystery, we guess. When a 2012 TV appearance by singer Ramiro Saavedra recently started doing the rounds, some fans were convinced the singer has been hiding out in South America –despite the fact the man in the clip looks and sounds nothing like Kurt.
Frances Bean Cobain has launched a lawsuit against her estranged husband Isaiah Silva after accusing him of stealing her late father Kurt Cobain’s $1million guitar. Now her ex has claimed in legal documents that Frances gifted him the Nirvana frontman’s guitar, with Kurt using the iconic instrument during the band’s MTV Unplugged gig back in 1993, however, Frances insists that this isn’t the case and understandably wants it back. On top of the guitar, the pair are also said to be fighting over the finances of their 21-month marriage, with Frances wanting to protect her money.
Richard Ashcroft took a six year break from music as he didn’t want to end up a rock casualty like Kurt Cobain. Ashcroft, above, told The Guardian about Cobain, below: “There’s no point writing a suicide note like Kurt Cobain. The former Verve frontman was dubbed ‘Mad Richard’ during the hedonism of the ’90s and fans had a perception of him that he was a hellraising rebel on a level with Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards or Iggy Pop.
Courtney Love and Frances Bean Cobain have seemingly kissed and made up after years of being estranged, with the mother and daughter making a rare public appearance together at a Women In Creativity event. The duo famously went six long years without talking to one another, with the feud beginning when France’s father, Kurt Cobain’s, mum and sister were given guardianship of the then-teenager due to Courtney and Frances’ rocky relationship.
