Taiwanese Military Carries Out Chinese Attack Simulation

The Taiwanese military began its week-long Han Kuang No. 32 drills on August 22, simulating an invasion of the Port of Taichung by China’s People’s Liberation Army.

The drills, conducted in Pingtung County, are designed to showcase the capabilities of helicopters, tanks and armored brigade units which would be tasked to defend the port, which is considered a strategic point due to its location in central Taiwan.

This footage shows scenes from a live-fire portion of the drills. More than 1,200 soldiers are participating in the exercises, The China Post reported. Credit: Facebook/ 國防部發言人 (MilitarySpokesman)
