Take Me Out to return with three specials - including the boys behind the lights

After being on air for over eight years, popular ITV dating show Take Me Out plans to switch things up a bit, with the programme adding three specials to the upcoming series of the show.

The tenth series of Take Me Out will hit our screens early next year, and it has now been revealed that the series will have the boys behind the famous lights.

Thirty of host Paddy McGuinness’ favourite male contestants are said to be returning to the show in a bid to find ‘the one’, however, this time the tables have turned and they will have the power to turn off their lights if they are “turned off” by the girls who come down the love lift.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the tenth series of the show will also see Paddy host an over fifties special, with the producers selecting 30 women in their fifties who are hoping to find love.

There will also be a feature celebrating all of the Take Me Out success stories from the past eight years, with the show orchestrating seven weddings and three babies over the years.

Speaking about the specials, Paddy shared: “I’m so excited to be celebrating ten series of Take Me Out. I always look forward to seeing romance blossom amongst a new line up of ladies and gents, including the over 50s!

“I’m also going to be catching up with the couples who got together after meeting on the show. Bring it on, let the tenth see the series!”

Head of Entertainment Suzy Lamb added: “I’m thrilled that Take Me Out will return to celebrate its tenth series.

“I’m sure there will be love matches a plenty if Paddy has anything to do with it and with two specials as well it’s set to be one of the best series yet.”
