Take That to reunite for 'Let It Shine' finale

Take That fans were left disappointed when Robbie Williams confirmed that he wouldn’t be joining his former bandmates on tour later this year to mark the band’s 25th anniversary, but he has sorted out a pretty good consolation prize.

The star is reportedly set to join Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Gary Barlow on stage at the grand finale for Barlow’s BBC talent show ‘Let It Shine’ – providing a mini reunion for fans of the group.

But sadly they won’t be back for good.

Unfortunately, it still won’t be a full house with Gary apparently not asking Jason Orange to join them as Jason officially quit the group back in 2014.

Speaking to The Sun, a source shared: “Gary wanted to finish off ‘Let It Shine’ with a bang and he thought a Take That reunion to close the show was the perfect way to achieve it.

“The idea is that it would also set the stage nicely for the musical to follow. Robbie seems very keen to get on board, so things are looking good. But in the end, Gary decided not to even ask Jason.

“He felt the chances of him doing it were so non-existent that it wasn’t worth the effort.

“Jason just isn’t interested now, he has his own life away from Take That.

Robbie had to turn down Take That’s 25th anniversary tour.

“With him out of the picture, Gary is pouring his energy into making sure their reunion as a four-piece is a huge success and blows the audience away.”

Let It Shine documents Gary’s hunt to find performers to star in his upcoming West End musical, ‘The Band’.
