Tampa-Area Family Rescued From Thigh-High Floodwater in House
Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office rescued a family trapped in a home flooded with multiple feet of water on Thursday, October 10, after Hurricane Milton slammed Florida’s west coast.
The sheriff’s office said the family of eight had been trapped in their home in Dover, about 20 miles east of Tampa, as water levels reached over six feet.
