Now that Zachary Levi has conquered the Worlds of DC with the massive success of Shazam, he's keen to return to his roots with Disney.

The actor memorably voiced the slippery Flynn Rider in Disney's Academy Award-nominated Rapunzel adaptation Tangled — and later returned for the spin-off TV series.

Since Disney is remaking all of its animated hits (with The Lion King now out in cinemas), fans asked Zachary at the recent CCXP Cologne event if he'd be willing to play Flynn again in a live-action Tangled (via ComicBook).

"As much as I would love to play Flynn Rider in a live-action Tangled, by the time they get around to that, I don’t think I’m gonna be the right guy to play that role," he admitted.

"I’ll be there coaching that guy, I’ll make sure he understands what that smoulder means, but I think my hair will be like Steve Martin-white by the time they do a live-action Tangled."

The actor did have a tongue-in-cheek suggestion on another live-action Disney role he'd like to grab in the future.

"In lieu of playing Flynn Rider in a live-action Tangled, I would say, I don’t know... Ariel from The Little Mermaid, maybe," he teased.

Sorry, Zachary — Grown-ish star Halle Bailey already beat you to the punch on that one! There's always Flotsam or Jetsam, though!

The actor's very ambitious acting goals also include nabbing a second role in the Worlds of DC, if the bosses at DC will ever give him a crack at playing Batman.
