Taron Egerton's thriller Carry-On has become one of the most-watched Netflix movies ever after landing the number five spot on Netflix's top 10 most-watched English-language movies list.
According to Netflix figures, the thriller has been viewed a total of 149.4 million times since its release on December 13, totalling 298.7 million hours viewed.
This puts it ahead of 2023's Leave the World Behind (143.4 million views), 2022's The Gray Man (139.3 million views), 2024's Damsel (138 million views), 2020's We Can Be Heroes (137.3 million views) and 2023 movie The Mother (136.4 million views).

This means that Carry-On has knocked the 2022 murder mystery movie Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery off of the top 10 English-language Netflix movies list, which received a total of 136.3 million views and previously occupied the number 10 spot.
Carry-On has amassed 17.4 million views this week alone, totalling 34.7 million hours viewed, and it has currently spent four weeks in the top 10 globally.
The movie, which landed the biggest Netflix opening of 2024, stars Egerton as TSA agent Ethan Kopek, an airport security officer who is being blackmailed on Christmas Eve to let a dangerous package through security.

Joining Egerton on the cast are Jason Bateman, Dean Norris, Danielle Deadwyler, Theo Rossi, Sinqua Walls and Logan Marshall-Green.
Egerton recently addressed the possibility of a sequel to the thriller, saying he would "be open" to returning if the story was right.
"It's kind of like an extraordinary set of circumstances, so I think it would need a really innovative, creative idea to feel like a worthy idea for a sequel," he said in an interview with Today. "But yeah, why not."
Egerton also heaped praise on his co-star Sofia Carson, saying: "If there ever was a sequel... it'd be interesting to see what she's up to."
