Taskmaster season 15 spoilers follow.

Taskmaster's Mae Martin jumped at the chance to make a hilarious remark during the show's brand-new episode.

The celebrity competition kicked off last week with Mae besting their co-stars. They may not have doubled down on their victory this time around in tonight's (April 6) episode, which saw the stars take on their first team task, but managed to provide the audience with a raunchy joke for the ages.

Mae was paired up with Kiell Smith-Bynoe for one of the tasks, and host Greg Davies couldn't help but praise the Ghosts star and Mae's inventiveness and creativity in the face of obstacles posed by, well, the laws of physics.

"Beavering away," the one and only Taskmaster called this reckless imagination. It's safe to say that he set up the joke right then and there for Mae, who promptly replied: "I beaver away... famously."

The studio was roaring with laughter at the comedian's quip as Davies conceded: "Great beavering."

Viewers couldn't help but agree, with several Taskmaster fans calling the Feel Good star "a legend."

Five-star jokes aside, the contestants were asked to pause their rivalries for the the team task, but not before they could prove their musical talent with an original solo.

Greg's sidekick Alex Horne instructed the taskers to compose a solo with the help of a pro musician and then play along to the same made-up track, making it look like the real thing.

While Mae surprised viewers taking on the double bass with their feet, Kiell skilfully 'played' the keyboard on a carefully arranged selection of books.

For the hotly-anticipated first team task, the quintet was split into two teams, facing each other for a chance to win five points. The task required them to gather objects from the garden to build a bridge with, and then balance potatoes on top of them. Whoever managed to build the highest bridge would win.

Ivo and Frank realised they could serve as "human parts" of the bridge and proceeded to climb onto ladders after placing the spuds into a tube, scoring the five points.

After striving to wow Greg and Alex with the most impressive single breath challenge, it was Ivo who won the episode, and the usual terrible selection of objects from the prize task.

Taskmaster airs on Thursdays on Channel 4.
