Tasmanian Devil Enjoys Spring Hailstorm in South Australia

A Tasmanian Devil frolicked around its enclosure during a hailstorm in Crafers, South Australia, on September 30.

This footage uploaded to the Cleland Wildlife Park’s Facebook page, shows the marsupial, named Mylo, happily trotting around the hail-covered enclosure as thunder rumbles in the distance.

Slow-moving thunderstorms delivered the hail, along with heavy rainfalls in the Mount Lofty Ranges and Mid North, with Kapunda West recording 74 millimeters in 24 hours, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

Heavy hail was also reported in the Adelaide Hills that created hazardous driving conditions, South Australia Police said. Credit: Cleland Wildlife Park via Storyful
