Taylor Swift has shared a cryptic video to social media regarding the re-recording of her early material.

It comes as the popstar is re-recording and re-releasing her first six albums after her masters were sold by her former record label.

The 31-year-old posted a 30-second clip of anagrams flying out of a vault while she appeared to be heard singing backwards.

She captioned the video: “The vault door is about to be as unhinged as you’ll think I am after you watch this video. Level: Expert. Happy decoding!”

Fans worked to solve some of the clues, claiming to have found words "perfectly", "featuring" and "happy", among others.

It seemed the Shake It Off singer could also have been hinting at a collaboration as two of the words unscrambled became "Keith" and "Urban", with Keith Urban being another US country music star.

Two anagrams could also be decoded to read "Maren Morris", the singer that featured alongside Swift on the latter's You All Over Me (From The Vault) which was released last week, with four other nonsense words reassembled to spell the song's name.

It appears all will become clear when the re-record of her Fearless album is released next week.

Fearless (Taylor’s Version) will include 26 songs while the original record put out in 2008 had 13 tracks.

Swift has become renowned among her fans, known as Swifties, for dropping coded messages into her work.

When announcing that she had finished re-recording Fearless back in February she randomly capitalised letters throughout her social media post which spelt out 'April ninth', hinting toward the record's release date.
