Taylor Swift earns $400,000 in just two weeks after returning her music to streaming services

Taylor Swift has made major bank since allowing her back catalogue to return to streaming services.

The Bad Blood hitmaker has reportedly earned just under $400,000 since ending her boycott of services such as Spotify and Amazon Music a fortnight ago.

Billboard claims that the two weeks since have seen TayTay earn $285,000 (£224,000) in streaming revenue and $59,000 (£46,000) in publishing royalties.

Which is a pretty hefty increase on what she made the week before that, which was $44,000 (£34,000) and $9,000 (£7,000) respectively.

Taylor apparently decided to bring her back catalogue back to streaming services as a thank-you to fans after 2014’s multi-platinum 1989 album reached the milestone of 10 million worldwide sales.

‘Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalogue available to all streaming services tonight at midnight,’ a statement said via Twitter.

All happy cause I got a new dress and also because Shanghai crowds are insane.

However, many claimed her decision to return to Spotify was to rile up nemesis Katy Perry, who released her new album, Witness, the day after Taylor’s sudden change of heart.

It didn’t help rumours either when 10 of Taylor’s songs re-entered the American top 200 streaming charts, versus four of Katy’s from her new record.

Perhaps that’s why Katy has suddenly started waving the white flag around, insisting she is ready to end their feud.

‘I forgive her, and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her, and I think it’s actually… I think it’s time,’ she said via Entertainment Tonight.

Their feud dates back to 2012 when the pair fell out over backing dancers who left Taylor’s tour to rejoin Katy on the road.

So. Much. Drama.
