Taylor Swift fans belt out famous track on bus to Murrayfield

Taylor Swift will be taking to the stage, with fans flocking to the home of rugby at Edinburgh's Murrayfield dressed to impress.

It's already a star-studded affair of cowboy hats, glitter, armed with friendship bracelets. Fans have travelled from across the globe to see the Cruel Summer singer take to the stage, including as far as Texas and Minnesota, the excitement is electric.

One clip, obtained by the Daily Record, saw a fleet of fans joyfully belting out the lyrics to her classic Love Story hit as they travelled to the gig on a coach. Swifties were heard joining in, as they excitedly waved their hands above their seats.

The pop sensations hit Love Story continues to be a classic beloved tune of hers to this day, after being released in 2008, it debuted at number 25 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs, becoming Swift's highest debuting song on that chart in her career.

Making its way through a sea of fans walking on foot, the wait will soon be over. Supporting act Paramore is expected to take to the stage around 7pm on Friday night, with Taylor stealing the show to adoring crowds from 8pm.

Elsewhere, fans spoke to the Daily Record about their excitement ahead of the gig tonight, mum and son Alison, 46, and Adam Mcintosh, 16 from Ayrshire, were amongst the first to arrive and were sparkling in the sunlight with their glittering silver outfits.

As OG fans since 2014 - when 1989 was released Adam was wearing the Man outfit from the Lover Era in 2019, and mum Alison followed that with a Midnight dress from the Midnight album in 2022.

Husband and wife Denise and Callum Hawkins, 28, from Dunfermline, came dressed as Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince from the Love era - and told how they met Taylor Swift. Denise said: “We have been Swifties fifteen years and met Taylor Swift when her mum tapped us on the doubler at the gig and invited us backstage at the Reputation tour in Manchester in June 2018.”

One fan spent around two weeks creating her Taylor-fied denim jacket. Ashley and MK were both thrilled to be seeing Taylor Swift in person as they chatted to us outside Edinburgh's Murrayfield stadium.

The pair came all the way from Texas. Ashley proudly flaunted off her denim jacket, that she bedazzled and Taylor-fied all by herself. The outfit was covered in sparkling stars, with its very own TS logo printed on the back which took her a few weeks.

"I wish I had made mine but I am not that talented," MK joked. The duo also flaunted off their impressive amount of classic friendship bracelets. "We love the connection we have with her. We have been listening to her for 16 years," MK added.

Ashley added: "The inclusivity, everyone's welcome. We just love her." They are buzzing to see Swift take to the stage for what they believe is undoubtedly her best ever 'era.'
