Taylor Swift announced that her upcoming Lover Fest tour will only be hitting two American cities, leading to a bit of a Twitter uproar for fans who aren't getting a concert in their area.

The popstar took to Instagram to announce Lover Fest, in support of her newly-released Lover album. But the festival is only stopping in two US cities, Foxborough, Massachusetts and Los Angeles, California, after kicking off with a June 20, 2020 show in Belgium.

Notably, Swift is not hitting New York - a fact which fans definitely took notice of on Twitter. Some cited her song 'False God', where she sings, "I'm New York City," as proof she'll eventually play in New York.

They also mentioned her song 'Cornelia Street', which is about her Greenwich Village apartment.

Other American fans are already taking to Twitter to plan summertime European vacations to catch the rest of her tour dates.

Many people think she'll be headlining Glastonbury, as she's left an opening on her tour schedule and says there are more tour dates set to be announced soon.

Swift wrote, “For me, the Lover album is open fields and sunsets and SUMMER. I want to celebrate the album and perform it live with you in a way that feels authentic to the music. I want to go to some places I haven’t been, and play festivals for the first time in ages.”

While she’s planning on hitting the festival circuit she is also going to be making her own festivals happen in cities where there aren’t any going on. As always, it's likely she'll bring her celebrity friends onstage with her.

Tickets go on sale on October 14.
