An Edinburgh-based foodbank charity revealed that international hitmaker Taylor Swift made a generous donation to its cause. The Edinburgh Food Project shared that as the first of the singer’s record breaking shows took place at Murrayfield Stadium last week, the charity received the news of the donation.

The charity shared a thank message to the singer. Taking to social media, Edinburgh Food Project wrote: “As fans gathered at @MurrayfieldStad on Friday for the first of three record-breaking gigs, we found out that @taylorswift13 would be making a donation to support foodbanks across the city. Thank you so much Taylor. Want to help? Donate £13 (#IYKYK): https://tinyurl.com/3et43bwx.”

Fans rushed into the comments to share their love for the American singer. Rachel said: “One day she's gonna set up The Taylor Swift Foundation and raise money for good causes everywhere she goes.”

Wackskeck wrote: “Taylor Swift is the only artist who constantly donate to charities and foodbanks. She's a charitable woman, humble and kind. God bless you more @taylorswift13.”

Emma Gregory agreed: “She's just great.”

Taylor’s shows at Murrayfield Stadium broke records for the highest attended concerts at the arena, with over 220,000 fans gracing the venue. She marked the occasion with a heartfelt message for her supporters.

Taking to Instagram, the singer wrote: “.Edinburgh!!! You truly blew me away this weekend. Thank you for breaking the all-time attendance record for a stadium show in Scotland 3 times in a row and for all the ways you made us feel right at home. Love you, all 220,000 of you!!!”
