The US singer fuelled speculation of new music after posting cryptic Instagram videos featuring a lo-res snake which arrived after a complete social media blackout last week on the three-year anniversary of hit single "Shake It Off."

Details on timings of Swift's new single release remain unclear, with the Instagram post stating simply it'll be available to hear tomorrow night. There is currently no word on how fans can listen to the track, however, it's expected to be available to stream on Apple Music, iTunes and Spotify. However, considering the previous inability to hear Swift's music on the latter - and considering her recent exclusive deal with Apple Music - it could be that the track becomes available to hear more readily in some places than others. This announcement has sent fans' excitement into overdrive with the hope that she'll unveil the single's video at this Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards which is set to be hosted by her long-time rival Katy Perry.

The ten-time Grammy Award-winning star's most recent album was chart-topping sensation 1989 which was released in 2014.
