Taylor Swift slammed for 'mocking Kim Kardashian's gunpoint ordeal' in new music video

At last night’s VMAs, Taylor Swift premiered the much anticipated music video for her new single, ‘Look What You Made Me Do’.

In the video, Taylor pokes fun at all of the negative things that have been said about her in her latest attempt to ‘Blank Space’ the negative headlines that her behaviour warranted last year, however, it appears that Taylor went a step too far when mocking her celebrity enemies, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

As well as mocking ex-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston’s infamous ‘I [heart] TS’ vest top, her critics calling her a snake, and even pointing out that she “always plays the victim”, Taylor seemingly mimicked Kim’s harrowing gunpoint ordeal from last year.

In October 2016, the mother-of-two had a gun held to her head as she was bound, gagged, and thrown in the bath tub of her Paris hotel room by a group of men.

The men stole millions of dollars worth of Kim’s jewellery, including her 20-carat diamond engagement ring from husband Kanye.

In Taylor’s new music video, the singer can be seen bathing in a bath tub full of jewels, with the 27 year old drawing attention to the rings on her fingers as she makes a gun sign, miming shooting.

Needless to say, viewers feel that the singer has gone too far in her petty feud with the Kardashian-Wests, especially as Kim was left fearing for her life and psychologically traumatised following the terrifying ordeal.

Taking to Twitter, critics voice their discontent, with some urging Taylor to “grow up”:

The move comes after Taylor announced that her new album, ‘Reputation’, will be released on November 10th, with conspiracy theorists pointing out that this is the anniversary of Kanye’s mum’s death and some thinking that this was a deliberate ploy.

Taylor has already taken obvious swipes at Kanye in her new single, including references to Kanye’s famous ’tilted stage’ from his Saint Pablo tour, but it is believed that she will make even more references to their ongoing feud in the album.

The pair have had a tumultuous relationship over the years, with it all coming to a head last year when Kim “exposed” Taylor for lying about whether or not she approved the lyrics about her on Kanye’s song ‘Famous’.

Kim shared a recording of Taylor’s phone conversation with Kanye where the rapper checked that Tay was okay with the “tongue-in-cheek” line.

Taylor told Kanye in the recording that she’d reveal that she was in on the joke at last year’s Grammys, however, after the lyrics received backlash from her fans Taylor changed her story, instead insisting that she had not approved the lyrics and that she was hugely offended by them.

When Kim shared evidence of Taylor’s lies on social media, the Internet erupted – with Taylor’s social media pages being spammed with the snake emoji and #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty trending worldwide.
