Taylor Swift 'stalker arrested after 'pursuing her for months'

There is not much a Taylor Swift fan won’t do to meet their idol – even if that means getting arrested, as one particular over-zealous follower discovered.

Mohammed Jaffar had the handcuffs slapped on him after he allegedly stalked the superstar over a number of months in New York City.

His quest to be near his idol reportedly started back in December 2016 when he turned up at Taylor’s apartment and demanded to meet her.

According to legal documents procured by Page Six, Mohammed was turned away only to later return four more times in the next two months, with his final visit on February 15th.

During one particular visit, he is said to have managed to sneak his way onto the corridor outside Taylor’s unit, and also onto the roof of the building in the middle of the night.

He also allegedly rang the Bad Blood singer’s doorbell for an hour straight, before returning the following day to ring it again for 45 minutes.

Not getting any joy at Taylor’s apartment, Mohammed is also said to have bombarded her management team with 59 phone calls in just under three weeks.

After months of trying to track Taylor, who briefly dated Tom Hiddleston last year, down, he was finally arrested on March 6th for burglary and stalking.

He is currently being held on a $20,000 bond.

A restraining order keeping him away from the 27-year-old was also granted.
