Taylor Swift's Eras tour returns to London: Who are the support acts?
Taylor Swift is finally returning to London for the next leg of her much-anticipated global Eras tour.
The international pop star will take to the stage in Wembley from August 15, kickstarting several nights of sold-out performances.
Across the next five days, thousands of Swifties will get to see the superstar in the flesh during several energetic evenings of glitzy musical numbers and soulful ballads.
But she’s not the only musician who’ll be gracing the stage at Wembley Arena this week.
Alongside a packed-out schedule, Swift also recently revealed a number of stellar support acts who will perform when she’s in London.
Besides Swift’s main support act, a number of other musicians will also alternate throughout the next few days, adding some exciting variety to the Eras tour.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Who are Taylor Swift’s support acts for Wembley?
Paramore
In 2023, Swift revealed that Paramore would be the opening act in the upcoming world tour.
Known for bangers like Misery Business and Riot!, the American rock band is certainly energising the crowd ahead of Swift’s on-stage debut.
Swift and the band’s lead singer, Hayley Williams, have been friends for years after meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.
Speaking about sharing the stage with Paramore, Swift wrote last year: “I get to travel the world doing shows with Paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???”
Sofia Isella
Sofia Isella is a 19-year-old singer-songwriter who is fast becoming a household name in Australia, where she’s living.
The classically trained musician will perform on August 15, the first night of Swift’s Eras return to London.
Reflecting on supporting Swift, Isella said on social media: “Someone I’ve never met has changed my life even more than she already has just through her writing alone.”
She added: “Your fearlessness in continuing to push yourself and win again and again is the most joyful thing to watch, Taylor. Thank you.”
The musician hasn’t actually released an album yet, but is reportedly set to preform six songs: Hot Gum, Cacao and Cocaine, Everybody Supports Women, Unattractive, Sex Concept, I Looked The Future In The Eyes, and It’s Mine.
Holly Humberstone
Singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone will then support Swift on August 16 at Wembley Stadium.
Born and raised in Lincolnshire, the 24-year-old musician said she was “eternally grateful” that Swift asked her to be a supporting act.
She said on social media: “The hardest secret I’ve ever had to keep. As if I get to support Taylor at The Eras Tour !!!!!! pinch me !!!!! @taylorswift thank you thank you thank you I am eternally grateful what an honour, I have no words & I can’t fuckin wait for the 16th ! See you 🔜 Wembley.”
Suki Waterhouse
Actor and musician Suki Waterhouse will then support Swift on August 17.
Known for starring in shows like Daisy Jones and the Six, Waterhouse has emerged as a performance powerhouse in music, TV and fashion.
According to Us Weekly, Swift and Waterhouse have known each other for years after being first spotted in 2016 at a Kings of Leon concert.
Speaking about Waterhouse, Swift previously said: “When we hang out, I often come away wondering how someone can be simultaneously spontaneous and free – and also preternaturally wise.”
Maisie Peters
Another UK star, Maisie Peters, will then take to the stage on August 19.
The 24-year-old musician, known for tracks like Worst of You, previously admitted that Taylor Swift had been a huge influence in her musical career, telling Metro: “Taylor is my hero and always will be.”
Announcing her Eras appearance on social media, Peters admitted it had been a dream of hers since she was 12 years old and being asked to perform was an “honour”.
RAYE
Award-winning Croydon native RAYE will support Swift on the final night of her Eras leg in Wembley.
The 26-year-old artist, known for songs such as Worth It, is probably the most well-known supporting musician of the cohort.
Confirming the news on social media, RAYE thanked Swift for the opportunity to perform as part of Eras.
Who else has supported Taylor Swift on tour so far?
Swift has already welcomed a solid line-up of supporting acts to her previous shows.
The superstar is primarily supporting female musicians in their ascent to stardom and sharing her platform with artists similarly breaking ground in the music industry.
In her earlier London dates, Swift was similarly joined on stage by Paramore.
Other stars who have appeared in earlier performances around the world have included Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, HAIM and Phoebe Bridgers.
