Taylor Swift is one of the most influential figures in modern music, taking the pop world by storm with The Eras Tour. But where did it all begin? How did she get to be one of the most famous musical icons in a generation?

Taylor was born on December 13, 1989, in Reading, Pennsylvania. She began her journey to stardom at a young age. Her debut self-titled album in 2006 marked the beginning of a career filled with chart-topping hits and numerous accolades.

She reportedly visited scores of record labels handing out her first demo in order to get a record deal which she finally landed at Big Machine Records in 2006.

Her love affair with music had humble beginnings. She said in an interview a computer technician had taught her her first chords on the guitar when coming over to repair her tech.

She said: "He asked if I wanted to learn a couple chords and I said yes so I learned those three chords and he left with the guitar with me that week. I wrote my first song that night and he just came back every week and started teaching me more chords. So I started writing songs immediately after I started playing guitar."

Since then Taylor has launched one of the most successful music careers in modern pop history. She has also just announced three new support acts for her The Eras Tour Wembley shows in June, including up-and-coming pop stars Mette, Griff and Benson Boone.

Her relationships have been a huge source of inspiration for her music too. Among her famous boyfriends, a few stand out:

  1. Joe Jonas: Her relationship with Joe Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers, was short-lived but highly publicised. Their breakup inspired her song "Forever & Always."

  2. Taylor Lautner: Known for his role in the Twilight series, Lautner dated Swift briefly. Their relationship was commemorated in the song "Back to December."

  3. John Mayer: Taylor's relationship with the renowned musician John Mayer led to the creation of the emotional song "Dear John", reflecting on their tumultuous romance.

  4. Jake Gyllenhaal: The actor's relationship with Taylor inspired several tracks on her critically acclaimed album "Red," including the hit "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "All Too Well".

  5. Harry Styles: Taylor's romance with the former One Direction member was the subject of much fan and media speculation, inspiring songs like "Style" and "Out of the Woods."

Currently, she is dating American football player Travis Kelce. There don't seem to be any big hits about the Kansas City Chiefs star just yet.

Away from her romantic life, Taylor Swift isn't the only star in her family. The singer shares a close bond with her younger brother, Austin Swift. Born on March 11, 1992, Austin has carved out his own path in the entertainment industry. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Austin has pursued acting, appearing in films such as "I.T." (2016) and "Live by Night" (2016).

Taylor often shares glimpses of their close-knit relationship on social media, celebrating each other's achievements and milestones. Austin, in turn, has been a steadfast supporter of Taylor, often accompanying her to award shows and public events.

How to get tickets for The Eras Tour

Tickets for the superstar's London shows went on sale on AXS and Ticketmaster but predictably sold out fast. While you can keep checking those sites for resale opportunities, you could also consider resale ticket websites. Sites such as Viagogo and VividSeats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.
