Taylor Swift fever has been sweeping the nation and the first UK city to see the Blank Space singer in action is Edinburgh. But during the 34-year-old American singer-songwriter’s first UK show as part of the Eras Tour some fans weren’t too pleased when there were 'glitches' only a few songs in.

During the concert at Murrayfield on Friday, June 7 there were some technical difficulties less than an hour into the performance, The Mirror reports. Taylor picked up her blue guitar before performing Lover and problems started to ensue.

The screen on-stage, which acts both as a backdrop for her concert with beautiful imagery and as an aid to help people at all corners of the stadium to see, started to go black and pixelated in some parts. Fans took to social media to say that something looked a bit off about the "Lover house" which is a reoccuring image of a house representing some of her albums often seen in the backdrop of the visuals. But the problem didn’t detract from the overall spectacle and the crowds were later chanting along to songs during the Fearless era section of the show.

Meanwhile, fans without tickets to the gig were trying their best to follow along through many livestreams at home, but were complaining about the quality. One fan wrote on X: "Why are there no good livestreams?" Others called out the venue directly, blaming them for the horrible internet service. "Please fix the internet issues, i want to go to the eras tour from home," a fan said. Another wrote: "Why does this stadium have the worst Wifi..."

The gig kicked off after fans spent hours queuing outside the stadium to see their idol and a party atmosphere descended across the Scottish city in honour of Taylor's arrival for three nights. The Eras Tour sees the American star sing to her dedicated fans for more than three hours during the 152 tours dates, which includes a stop-off in Cardiff on Tuesday, June 18.

Following the opening UK show, Taylor, who is dating Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce, is gearing up for two further shows in Edinburgh this weekend before she arrives in Liverpool, Cardiff and London. Get your limited edition Taylor Swift OK! glossy mag here.
