Heartwarming: Teacher's kind act that helped her pupil being bullied for her hairstyle: Facebook

A Brazilian teacher came up with a unique way to help a school girl who was being bullied at school because of her hairstyle.

Ana Barabara Ferreira, from Sao Paulo, said her student was sad as she was being ridiculed by a boy in her class who had said her hair was “ugly.”

"At that moment, the only thing I could tell her was that she was wonderful and shouldn't care about what he was saying," she wrote in a Facebook post that went viral.

But the following morning the bullied girl’s teacher decided to do something that has warmed the hearts of the tens of thousands of people who share her post.

Much to the girl’s surprise, she decided to come into school wearing the same hairstyle as her pupil.

Ms Ferreira told of how the girl came running over to hug her once she realised they were wearing their hair in the same way.

She said: “When she saw me, she came running to hug me and say that I was beautiful.

"I told her: 'Today I'm beautiful like you!'"

The heartwarming act, and a picture of the two of them wearing huge smiles of their faces, has been shared on social media more than 30,000 times.
