Teacher makes grovelling apology to Amazon after discovering her dog ATE her missing parcel

A teacher who complained to Amazon about a missing parcel was forced to eat humble pie when she discovered her dog was solely to blame.

Despite order tracking showing her Samsung car charger turning up to her home, Rachel Brown couldn’t find it anywhere.

No one had signed for the package and it wasn’t in the assigned safe space for deliveries when she is out.

Angry at Amazon, Rachel spoke to a customer services agent but she was no closer to finding her delivery.

But then she saw something sticking out of the sofa underneath her foster greyhound Ozzy – and suddenly everything became clear.

Rachel explained: “He had completely hidden what remained of the item and the packaging – it was really well hidden under him and the cushion.

‘It was only when I moved him and got him off the sofa that I spotted a bit of the packaging was sticking out.

“He was definitely trying to cover his tracks and hide all the evidence.

“I felt really silly.”

Confessing that she “didn’t have the guts” to ring Amazon back up, Rachel posted an apology online.

She told them: “My dog is now looking very shifty whilst I mourn the loss of the cable I never knew.”

Amazon was approached for comment but failed to respond.
