Teachers Sing at Protest in Myanmar as Protests Enter Fifth Day

Teachers in Taungoo, Myanmar, held an anti-military protest on February 10, as nationwide protests entered their fifth day.

Local reports said protesters were calling for the release of ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyi and other elected officials who were detained following the military’s allegations of voting irregularities in a November election won by Suu Kyi’s National League for Democracy.
