The team behind Brixton restaurant Salon will launch a new restaurant in Peckham called Levan.

The new all-day dining site, which is set to open in October, will focus on contemporary European dishes, taking inspiration from new wave bistronomy.

Guests can expect seasonal pastries in the morning alongside other breakfast favourites like a croque monsieur. The lunch menu will reflect European bistro classics, with dishes like a potato, chanterelle and vacherin pie and a fig salad.

In the evenings, diners can choose from a menu consisting of smaller sharing plates and heartier dishes like smoked pollack, with spinach and a 50-day aged rump with wild garlic aioli.

In terms of drinks, there will be French wines and bespoke cocktails on offer including a rosemary pisco sour.

Similarly to its sister restaurant, Levan will be committed to sustainability and the team will work hard to ensure over 90% of waste is reused or repurposed.

The restaurant's team has stressed that unused food like herb stalks will be incorporated into infusions and spoilt milk will be used to make cheese curd.

Levan will be located in a converted warehouse and made up of two main spaces: a large dining area and a bar section with high tables for walk-ins.
