Canada's Blayre Turnbull accepts gold medal while lying on a stretcher

It's been made abundantly clear in the past that nobody has more fun celebrating a win than the Canadian national women's hockey team, and nothing was keeping forward Blayre Turnbull away from the ice after her squad's world championship victory on Tuesday.

After defeating their rivals from the USA 3-2 in overtime at the IIHF Women's Worlds, a massive celebration ensued after a video review confirmed the win for Canada.

Unfortunately for Turnbull, she was injured during Canada's justifiably raucous celebration and needed to be placed on a stretcher. But if you thought that was going to stop her from getting her hardware with the rest of her teammates, you would, of course, be dead wrong.

With a medal in hand and a medical crew to help bring her out, Turnbull returned to the ice to continue the celebration.

An all-time Canadian hockey moment, no doubt!

The one who triggered the post-game festivities was captain Marie-Philip Poulin who sealed the victory for Canada with a wicked bar-down wrister early in OT.

The play originally continued after Poulin's snipe, but she knew the puck crossed the line and the officials ruled it a goal shortly afterward.

The gold medal marked the first time Canada had finished first at the tournament since 2012, ending a lengthy nine-year drought for the hockey powerhouse.
