Both of Team GB's Curling teams are on the brink of qualifying for the semi-finals for the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang after identical runs in the competition so far.

The two teams, male and female - captained by Kyle Smith and Eve Muirhead respectively have both won five of their eight round-robin matches and have one remaining match to play before the semis.

Both teams could even qualify for the last four if they lose their final game, depending on other results going their way.

The GB men's team will go up against the USA, while Team Muirhead will face Canada. The Canadians are the World Champions on the ice, but have been worryingly inconsistent at the games so far.

The Women’s coach Glenn Howard, and the Men’s captain Kyle Smith both found themselves summing up their feelings before their final games with the very same comment: "We control our own destiny."
