Kim Kardashian and Floyd Mayweather are being sued for allegedly misleading investors by promoting cryptocurrency tokens in an alleged ‘pump and dump scam’.

A lawsuit filed at Los Angeles federal court claims the reality TV personality and the boxer - plus others, including former NBA player Paul Pierce - promoted tokens sold by EthereumMax, or Emax, to boost its price for profit.

The lawsuit has been brought by a New York resident who bought Emax tokens and lost money, and while Kardashian, Mayweather and Pierce are yet to comment, EthereumMax denies the claims.
