Nissan STILL sells the Juke? It's amazing, really – the compact crossover that some credit with creating the market sector is still selling strongly eight years on from its original release, despite not exactly being cutting-edge even back then.

Nissan clearly believes there is life in the Juke yet, though, as it's now introduced an updated version for 2018 with an array of new styling and personalisation options.

Blink and you'll miss the exterior changes, which extend to a dark chrome version of Nissan's V-motion grille, darkened headlamps and interior mirrors and LED foglamps on higher-spec models.

The new personalisation options are rather more eye-catching. Customers can choose from two new 16-inch alloy wheel designs, or a new 18-inch design for top-spec Tekna models.

Adding a splash of colour to the exterior is easier than ever, with coloured front and rear bumper finishers, sill plates and mirror caps all available through the personalisation programme – while two new body colours, named Vivid Blue and Chestnut Bronze – are available.

They're matched by two new interior colours – Energy Orange and Power Blue, which alter the colour of the central console, air vents, and seat upholstery.

The other big addition to the interior is a Bose audio system. Borrowed from the Micra supermini, this uses two speakers built into the headrest to give a more immersive audio feel – for the driver, at least!

The updated Juke will go on sale in the UK from May 2018. Nissan has not revealed full pricing or specifications yet, but expect a very modest increase. Mechanicals are likely to remain virtually identical, too – that means a choice between small-capacity turbocharged petrol engines or a 1.5-litre diesel.
