Ted Lasso's Nick Mohammed says there’s "no reason" show can’t continue past season 3
Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed has hinted that season 3 may not be the last as feared.
Star Jason Sudeikis recently hinted that the third season of the Apple TV+ comedy – which is due to finally premiere this week – could be the final outing.
However, Mohammed, who returns as kit man turned villainous rival head coach Nate Shelley, has suggested that there may be scope for more beyond the new episodes.

"I feel like the writers were really open at the start and said that in their heads they'd mapped out three-season arcs," the star told Entertainment Weekly.
"But that doesn't mean that it definitely has to come to an end. There's no reason why it couldn't continue. So, we'll see. I hope there's more, but who knows."
In his own recent comments, Sudeikis admitted that season 3 "is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell".

He added: "The fact that folks will want more and are curious beyond more than what they don't even know yet – that being Season 3 – it's flattering.
"Maybe by May 31, once all 12 episodes of the season [have been released], they're like, 'Man, you know what, we get it, we're fine. We don't need anymore, we got it'.
"But until that time comes, I will appreciate the curiosity beyond what we've come up with so far."

Sudeikis also spoke about the possibility of doing a spin-off, noting: "Yeah, I think that we've set the table for all sorts of folks… to get to watch the further telling of these stories."
"Again, I can't help but take the question as flattery for what all of us that were working on the show has tried to do. It's really kind of folks to even consider that because you never know what's gonna happen when you make things.
"The fact that people want more, even if it's a different avenue is lovely."
Ted Lasso season 3 premieres on Wednesday, March 15, streaming on Apple TV+.
