Teen, 18, fighting for life after broad daylight Lee High Road stabbing

A teenager is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight on south east London high road.

The 18-year-old victim was found suffering a single stab wound in Lee High Road at 3.30pm on Thursday.

Medics rushed to the scene within minutes and took the critically wounded teen to hospital.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “He has been taken to hospital where his condition has been assessed as life-threatening.

“His next of kin have been informed. A crime scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing. No arrests have been made.”

An LAS spokesperson added: “We were called at 3.31pm today to reports of a stabbing on Lee High Road, Lewisham.

“We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“The first of our medics arrived on scene within six minutes.

“We treated a man at the scene, and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
