Teen seriously injured after being hit by lorry in Coventry

A teenage boy suffered serious injuries after being hit by a lorry in Coventry. It happened on Tile Hill Lane.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the incident at around 5pm on Monday (July 8). Crews found the teenage boy, who was a pedestrian, with potentially serious injuries.

He received treatment at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave. It was believed he was later discharged and was recovering from his injuries.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a collision between a lorry and pedestrian on Tile Hill Lane at 4.54pm on Monday, July 8. One ambulance attended.

“We discovered one patient, a teenage male, and he was treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
