Teen stabbed in Birmingham park 'serious but stable' as police issue 'concerning' update
An investigation is underway after a teenager was stabbed in a city park. A 15-year-old boy was knifed in Ward End Park around 4pm on Tuesday (Jan 21) and left seriously injured.
He was taken to hospital and remains in a serious but stable condition. Police are carrying out door to door enquiries and reviewing CCTV to identify who is responsible.
Police are also patrolling the area to offer reassurance. Anyone with information is asked to get in contact with police.

A spokesman from West Midlands Police said: "We were called to Ward End Park Road, Birmingham, at just after 4pm on Tuesday after being alerted by ambulance colleagues to a 15-year-old boy with stab injuries. Officers attended and found the teenager being treated by paramedics before he was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
"We’ve been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and CCTV is being reviewed from around the area as we work to identify and detain whoever is responsible. We know such incidents are upsetting and concerning for people and our neighbourhood officers are patrolling the area to offer reassurance.
"If you see officers, please speak with them, and if you have information about the incident let us know. We'd also ask anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage who has yet to contact us to call us on 101 or message us on Live Chat on our website, quoting 20/120397/25."
A spokeswoman said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing on Ward End Park Road in Washwood Heath at 4.05pm on Tuesday. An ambulance, paramedic officer, critical care paramedic and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found a teenage boy with serious injuries.
"He received treatment from medics before being taken to hospital via land ambulance, with the Air Ambulance crew travelling on board to continue treatment en route."
