There's a new baddie in town on Fear the Walking Dead, and he comes in the form of Teen Wolf actor Daniel Sharman.

Sharman will be joining the cast as a series regular character named Troy for the AMC drama's third season, reports TheWrap.

Troy sounds like somebody you definitely don't want to mess with – he has a "wild temperament" and is "suspicious of outsiders" and "charismatic with a cruel streak".

Fear the Walking Dead season three – also starring Kim Dickens, Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam-Carey – will consist of 16 episodes and begins later this year.

And we know that former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Emma Caulfield (who played Anya) has signed on for a role in the upcoming season as well.

Meanwhile, the original Walking Dead series is gearing up for its final two episodes in its seventh season.

Norman Reedus (Daryl) has compared the season finale to Braveheart, while Lennie James (Morgan) has said that he "jumped up and down like a giddy schoolboy" when he read the script.

Meanwhile, Josh McDermitt – who plays Eugene – has explained why his character made the decision to stay behind at the Sanctuary. It actually makes a lot of sense.

Fear the Walking Dead will return on AMC in the US and on AMC on BT TV in the UK.
